The University of Arizona offers the BA, MA and PhD in Art History. Graduate students may also pursue the certificate program in Museum Studies.

The Art History division offers comprehensive studies of the history of art and architecture through critical engagement with existing scholarship and art historical theories and methods. Here you will have the opportunity to participate in senior capstone courses, internships, and study abroad. Further, you will gain an extensive understanding of both historical and contemporary western visual culture, from Ancient to Contemporary art and architecture, as well as Native American, Pre-Columbian and African.

The faculty is committed to delivering you a quality academic experience. Through thoughtful teaching and mentoring, the goal of the Art History division is to provide learning that is as supportive as it is professional and as nurturing as it is dynamic.
