The University of Arizona School of Art Advisory Board and Director are pleased to announce Atelier II, the second annual live drawing event and fundraiser that got the Tucson arts community buzzing last fall.
This year the greater Tucson community will witness this exclusive event at the Steinfeld Warehouse Community Arts Center where the crowd will once again observe or join artists, both accomplished and aspiring, while communing to raise funds for the School of Art.
The Atelier II program will feature highly sought after artists who will offer select drawings from the live session for auction, University-level figure drawing instructions from Larry Gipe, renowned figure drawing professor from the University of Arizona School of Art, top graduate students for audience tutelage, live models, Cuban appetizers with an assorted bar, and more surprises. Drawing kits are donated by Sarnoff Art Supply, and will be available for purchase for $10.
This year’s figure artists joining the audience and executing their works in a variety of media include David Adix, Jacqueline Chanda, Moira Geoffrion, Nancy Monsman, Yana Payusova, Michael Schwartz, and Shirley Wagner.
$80 entry fee includes appetizers and wine. Drawing kits: $10 at the event, a $20 value.
