Over the past decade, the School of Art at the University of Arizona has maintained a student exchange program with the University in Bratislava, and this lecture is part of our continuing collaboration with members of the Slovakian art community.
“Who’s Afraid of Bratislava Conceptualism?” (Conceptual Art in Slovakia 1963-1993) is based on an upcoming publication by Gregor on this fascinating slice of art behind the “Iron Curtain” in the Eastern Bloc.
Richard Gregor is the former Curator of Contemporary Art at the Galería mesta Bratislavy (City Gallery of Bratislava) and Chief Curator of the Kunsthalle Bratislava.
