Art & Strategic Resilience
Visiting Artists and Scholars Series, 2017/2018
As agents of change and mediators of the personal and public imagination, artists intervene into embedded social, cultural, economic, and ecological systems. In so doing they create new conceptual and material form engaging the unexpected, impossible, playful, tragic, hidden, unlikely, and strange. These artistic objects and moments challenge our worldviews, open our minds, and shift our perspectives. In “Art & Strategic Resilience,” six speakers offer diverse insights into the power of art to spark the deeper conversations and more meaningful interactions required to build the capacity for personal, social, and political resilience.
