Two Illustration + Design students (Gabrielle Anderson, Illustration emphasis, and Colin Wolff, Design emphasis) created panels for the Pollinator Pavilion at Tucson Village Farm (TVF). They were installed for the Farm’s Annual Fall Harvest Festival on November 4, 2017. They will be used to teach the thousands of community members and local school children who visit the farm each year about the important role of pollinators in our food system. The project was initiated in Illustration + Design Professor Ellen McMahon’s Art, Design and Environment course in fall 2016 and completed in Illustration + Design Associate Professor Kelly Leslie’s Capstone course in spring 2017. The lower photograph is Gabrielle Anderson, who did all of the illustrations and Ann Tracy, a local artist who was her high school art teacher.
