Idyll is an exhibition of works that tells the personal story of Hao Jiang’s family history during World War II. The Chinese- Japanese artist re-contextualizes the Nanking Massacre by creating works that reflect on the stories told by his Japanese great-grandfather.
Hao Jiang is a recent graduate of the University of Arizona’s Mathematics department. His main artistic pursuit is black and white photography. Jiang was recently accepted as a MFA candidate in photography at Arizona State University.
