MFA Studio Sale

May 20, 2017 - 10:00am to 6:00pm

Venue: Visual Arts Graduate Research Laboratory

University of Arizona Graduate Students Sell their Artwork

The Master of Fine Arts students in the School of Art at University of Arizona are pleased to announce an end-of-the-year studio sale, to take place in the Graduate Visual Arts Laboratory, 1231 N Fremont Ave, Tucson AZ 85719, on the weekend of May 20-21.

Third year, graduating students will be moving out of their studios soon and are looking to find new homes for amazing artwork made during the course of their 3 year stay here at the U of A. Continuing graduate students will also have works available. Artists working in a variety of media (painting, drawing, fiber arts, photography, print-making, 3D, design, and others) will be displaying their work for sale. We encourage all art-loving members of the community to please come out and support the students as they embark on a new journey toward their careers as professional, working artists. This is a wonderful opportunity to collect affordable, high-quality works from budding artists who are looking to grow their reputations and get their work out into the world.

Students will be hanging their works in the hallways of the studio building, and will have tables for smaller pieces at the front of the building, and in the lobby area.

Until May 12, the third year students have their newest works on display at the MFA Thesis Exhibition, located in the University of Arizona Museum of Art and the Joseph Gross Gallery. If you’ve seen the exhibition and are interested in seeing more by these artists and others, this is the perfect opportunity.

Some of the artists participating: Leah Lewman, Janelle Krause, Erinn Nordeman, Elliott Robbins, Alissa Neal, Gladys Garcia, and others.

For more information, please call 410-608-7813 or send an email to leah.lewman@gmail.com.

SALE HOURS:

Saturday, May 20                               10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

Sunday, May 21                                  10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
