Three School of Art students will present their winning research papers as part of the Museum Studies Graduate Certificate Program 2022-23 awards ceremony on Friday, Feb. 10.
The recipients presenting in Room 312 of the School of Art building will be:
Grace Marie Gousman (History), Undergraduate Prize
- “Twice Stolen and Cultural Cleansing: A History of Museum Looting and Thefts Committed by Russia and the Response from the International Museum Community”
Madeline Schierl (AVCE), M.A. Prize
- Investigating the (Im)possibility of the Queer Museum: The Museum of Transgender “Hirstory” and Art and The Museum of Transology
Jenna Green (AVCE), Ph.D. Prize
- Mindfulness At Art Museums: An Exploration of Theory and Practice
School of Art Director Colin Blakely will deliver opening remarks, followed by introductions by Carissa DiCindio and Irene Bald Romano, co-chairs of the Museum Studies Graduate Certificate Program.
