Kelly Leslie is a graphic designer, educator, and artist whose work explores the intersection of visual communication and fine art. As a Professor of Art at the University of Arizona, she has spent her career teaching design, mentoring students, and fostering creative inquiry. Her professional work spans graphic design, illustration, and painting, reflecting an interest in how images communicate ideas and create connections with audiences. Through both her teaching and studio practice, Leslie explores the intersection of conceptual thinking and visual expression, emphasizing experimentation, collaboration, and the power of visual language.
In recent years, Leslie has expanded her studio practice through a collaborative painting partnership with her husband, Craig Cully. Their joint work, developed over the past six years, combines shared observation, dialogue, and artistic experimentation to create layered visual narratives that reflect their unique collaborative process.
